ENS Students Shaping our Environmental Future



Rachel Cook, ENS senior, is working to create the #AdultingUK series which works to familiarize students with campus resources and expose them to the concept of local food through a joint partnernship with The Food Connection and UK Student and Academic Life.




Julianna Dantzer, ENS senior, does environmental outreach with the City of Lexington to educate the public about different environmental initiatives the city has begun. She also is a member of the Citizen's Environmental Academy, and is working on several projects with her peers to help improve Lexington's sustainability.



Sophia Dovenbarger, ENS senior, works for the Urban Forestry Initiative (UFI) to advocate for the function, value, and perception of urban forests across Kentucky. Sophia has helped to awareness to the value of urban forests. 





Tiana Thé, ENS senior, helped create the Director of Sustainability position in UK's Student Government Association. Since the position is new, she's working to develop a strategic plan for future Directors. Her goal is tor bring sustainability to the forefront as a multifaceted priority.
