Our Spring 2020 Graduates:

Alec Foust
BAs in ENS and English with minors in WRD, Geography, and Creative Writing. I studied in Milan, Italy, during my fourth year of undergrad, where I interned with a small magazine that fact checks companies' claims about their environmental and social impact. I'm interested in environmental and public health and plan to attend grad school within the next few years.

Amanda Breseman
BA in ENS and BA in Geography with minors in Mapping/GIS and Appalachian Studies. Seeking employment in environmental education/research, conservation, GIS/mapping, or community outreach. Applying for for geography graduate programs for Fall 2021. Completed a year and a half research assistant position with the WRD department at the end of March 2020. Experience with data analysis for surveys on climate change communication/education and about the Arboretum.

Megan Collins
I plan to go on to make a career working in the music industry and hopefully as a musician in my own band one day. During my time at U.K. I spent time as a cadet in AFROTC for almost two years, was a member of the Arnold Air Society through ROTC for those two years, and served as the Social Media Director for UK's chapter of AIAA during my 5th and final year. In short I don't really plan to work in the field of sustainability, but feel that college has allowed for me to experience multiple disciples from mechanical engineering to physics and now environmental sustainability- and that has made me a well rounded individual ready to take on the world.

Kelly Davidson
BA in ENS, minor in Anthropology with an emphasis in healthcare compliance and environmental health and safety. Looking to transition into an administrative role at Baptist Health Lexington, my employer for the last ten years. I have applied for graduate study in applied ENS. Serve as a volunteer board member for my son’s lacrosse team.

Sam Goodwin
BA in ENS with a concentration in economics. I plan on doing the online graduate program starting in the fall. I interned with the Andy Beshear campaign before he was elected governor, and now considering a job in the government.

Emma Lewis
BA in ENS with a concentration in society and a minor in Theatre. Seeking employment in the non-profit industry. Actively applying to graduate programs for Marine Biology and Political Science. Throughout my college career I chose to focus on my theatrical endeavors as a stage manager and set builder. In the years to come I hope to work outdoors with animals and humans alike.

Carlie Martingdale
BA in ENS with an emphasis in societal connections to the environment. Seeking employment in a university context as a Sustainability Coordinator, working on issues of zero waste, energy efficiency, and social justice, among others. I am also seeking graduate level education in sustainability studies to research circular economies.

Laura McCallister
I am graduating with a BA in English and ENS, and I am seeking employment in the nonprofit sector before I begin graduate studies. My education has emphasized Political Ecology, and I intend to become a Critical Geographer. Through internship experiences, I have developed strong skills in community engagement, environmental communications, and advocacy work. My interests lie in climate justice and sustainable food systems.

Leah Weatherly
I'll be graduating with a BA in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a minor in Political Science. I've applied for a graduate program to further my education and love for the environment.  My dream is to work for a national park and to promote sustainability..
